Writing music is something I am relatively new at, though I have loved music all my life. From singing Hannah Montana on my bike as a kid, to officially releasing my first song in 2024, music is something that is always with me.
Sonder
In 2023, I was selected to partake in the annual album project through the Music Tech Production program at Oregon State University. This opportunity pairs up student songwriters with student producers create a song that will be featured on a collective album. This year's album, Sonder, features 10 songs written, produced, and released in Spring of 2024. I worked alongside the wonderfully talented, Jacob Wesley, to create the second track, Baby Blue.
About Baby Blue
Baby Blue truly is a song that has lived in my mind since the pandemic. During a time I (and the world) felt most lost, I turned to find out what it meant to be myself. Ultimately, I realized who I am at my core matched who I was as a kid. I was a dreamer, excited by everything, tripping over my feet as I ran through the world. The song depicts how over time, I feel I lost that quality, and how I turned to things I loved as a kid to help me find her again - starting with the stars.
